HISTORIC SAFARI began as two separate barrel journeys. Our friends at Mountain Culture Brewing Co. aged an imperial stout in ex-whisky barrels, while we matured ours in ex-bourbon barrels. Once both beers had developed their own character, the barrels were sent together and blended into a single expression. From there, we conditioned the blend on cinnamon, cacao nibs and vanilla beans, building layers of spice, dark chocolate, oak and soft vanilla warmth. A unified imperial stout born from two paths.
